Veterinary Formulations

Whether you have a dog, cat, avian, exotic, equine, reptile, rabbit or rodent we have special solutions for your pet’s medication needs. Our pharmacists will work directly with your veterinarian to provide a simple and effective solution for medication delivery. We compound special forms of eye drops, anti-seizure medications, hormone therapy, antibiotics, poison antidotes, thyroid medications, high blood pressure combinations or multiple drugs, antidepressants, Polyox bandages, and chemotherapy for your beloved companion animal. We can also help with very bitter drugs by compounding a form that has a milder taste. Some pets like it sweet, some like it meaty. Whatever your pet wants, we aim to please.

dog Favorite flavors: beef, chicken, cheese

Easiest dosing: suspensions, capsules

Other dosing available: eye drops, injectables

Dosing tips: Capsules can be wrapped in a dogs favorite food such as cheese. In fact, some medication may work better with food – just ask the pharmacist.
cat Favorite flavors: chicken, tuna, liver

Easiest dosing: suspensions, transdermal

Other dosing available: eye drops, injectables

Dosing tips: Have a cat’s nails trimmed before dosing medications. Use a dropper or syringe to give suspension in slow squirts to allow the cat time to swallow. Some medications can be put in a gel and placed on the cats inner ear where it then absorbs into the body.
bird Favorite flavors: tutti-frutti, piña colada, banana

Easiest dosing: suspensions

Other dosing available: injectables

Dosing tips: Don’t combine a medication with the bird’s water – usually the bird will avoid the water due to the change in taste and it is difficult to determine how much the bird will drink. Dosing birds is difficult! Check with the vet on the best method and find what works for you and your pet.
