![]() HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY (HRT) One of the therapies used in the treatment of menopause and osteoporosis is to replace female hormones that are reduced during this period in the woman's life. Many women are now requesting that the hormones being used to replace lost hormone levels be "natural" or "bio-identical". This means that the hormones being replaced exactly match the chemical structures that have been in their bodies since birth, as opposed to the horse hormones found in the most popular prescription drug called Premarin. These three estrogens are Estrone (E1), Estradiol (E2), and Estriol (E3). These three drugs are available to us from various chemical suppliers, obtained originally from vegetable sources, and are compounded by us to match the exact formula that your physician specifies, usually in a ratio most frequently found in the normal female body. Sometimes there is a need to add either Progesterone, another primarily female hormone, or Testosterone, which is found in both the normal female and male body, but in differing amounts. We currently prepare over 100 different formulations with
varying strengths in capsule, troche, creme, ointment, suppository, injectable
and solution form to exactly meet the requirements of the physicians and
patients involved. These include Triestin(E1,E1,&E3) and Biestrin(E3
&E2). We also prepare many dosage forms of methyl-testosterone and
DHEA. We can compound any combination and strength and dosage form your doctor prescribes:
